Sow outdoors in mid to late spring, or indoors in early spring 4-6 weeks before the last frost, covered with about 3mm of soil and kept moist; germinates in 7-14 days (Harvest to Table).

When to pick: Cut the plant back regularly to encourage new growth -- the youngest leaves have the best flavour. Remove flowers after blooming to discourage self-seeding.
